Pa-15 personality type is ESFP, the “people-pleaser.” According to the Myers-Briggs type indicator, Dostoyevsky is an introverted, intuitive, feeling, sensing and perceiving type. The concept of equating Dostoyevsky’s personality type to his work is an interesting one. While the literary work of Dostoyevsky is certainly most notable for its philosophically profound insights, it is worth considering that the introverted, intuitive, feeling and sensing types are more common in the creative fields than in scientific ones. In the United States, where Dostoyevsky was most active, the percentages of people in this type range were 28 percent in literature, 24 percent in architecture and 18 percent in music. A similar pattern can be found in other areas where the introverted, intuitive, feeling and sensing types are most prominent. While the percentage of people in this type range was slightly higher in politics (21 percent), it was significantly lower in science (12 percent).
