Reed Strucker's story
The Strucker family's background is revealed at the end of "The Last Stand," in which Reed Strucker claims that he is the son of Harold and Caitlin Strucker. Harold Strucker was apparently a soldier for Hydra in World War II, and Reed Strucker's parents were killed when Hydra seized control of their country. Reed Strucker's claim is immediately called into question when Emma Frost looks up Reed Strucker's birth records in "Astonishing X-Men" #6 (September 2009). She discovers that Reed Strucker was actually born in Scotland in 1981, but he never met his parents. Reed Strucker was raised by his grandparents, who raised him in Scotland until the age of 12 when he moved to L.A. with them.
