In Suikoden II, Ena is a playable character. He is the only one of the Four Generals from Suikoden I to be playable in Suikoden II. In both games, he's the only major character to stay alive through the whole game, though Nina doesn't make an appearance in Suikoden II.
Suikoden III
In Suikoden III, Ena is one of two playable characters, along with Nina. He has a different role within the party this time around. He is a captain in the Imperial Army and is leading a detachment that has been assigned to assist the Imperial Army in the outskirts of Esto Gaza. Because Nina is his fiance, Ena has been assigned as her personal bodyguard. As such, he is constantly by her side as she travels the land and as such is not as much of a fighter as he was in previous titles. His main task is to protect her and help her during missions.
