I believe that there are two major groups of people that would be attracted to Haruki Shiga's writing, one is people that are interested in Japanese culture and language, and the other is people that are into psychology and how people act. This is why I think Haruki Shiga's writing would appeal to people who are interested in Japanese culture.
His writing would appeal to the first group because he posts about Japanese culture, including finding food, food preparation, and even travel advice. He also posts about Japanese music and how he enjoys it. Haruki Shiga's writing would appeal to the second group because of his views on how people act. He seems to have a strong interest in how people act and how they think. His writing is more of an analysis of how Japanese work and how they act.
