It was something I had dreamt of ever since I was younger. When I got that award, I wasn’t surprised because I had worked very hard. I had the right people around me who worked hard for me. I didn’t take it for granted.
What was your childhood like?
I am the second born in my family so my childhood was quite normal. We lived in a house with six bedrooms and 10 kids, so we did not have enough space for all of us. That was one of the reasons I decided to build my house on the outskirts of Lagos. When I was growing up, my dad had a passion for business and I wanted to follow in his footsteps.
