I am married to the love of my life, and we have two beautiful children.
I have been involved in various facets of the automotive industry for over three decades. I began my career as an engineer, and then transitioned into management. At GM, I held a variety of positions, including engineering manager of the vehicle manufacturing center, engineering manager of the truck and SUV group, and corporate V.P. of engineering, where I was responsible for the engineering and technology development for all of GM’s domestic and import vehicles.
After leaving GM in 1999, I was the founder and president of a successful consulting firm, which had more than 500 employees and served major players in the automotive industry. During the height of the financial crisis of 2008, I returned to GM as an advisor to the board on strategic issues.
In 2009, I co-founded iacocca.com, a website that provides information on entrepreneurship and leadership trends.
Lido Anthony "Lee" Iacocca ( EYE-ə-KOH-kə; born October 15, 1924 - July 2, 2019) was an American automobile executive best known for spearheading the development of Ford Mustang and Pinto cars, while at the Ford Motor Company in the 1960s, and then later for reviving the Chrysler Corporation as its CEO during the 1980s. He served as President and CEO of Chrysler from 1978 and additionally as chairman from 1979, until his retirement at the end of 1992. Iacocca was a passionate advocate of U.S. business exports during the 1980s.
