Earlier this week, Gerard Eilander and his family visited the American Museum of Natural History in New York. While there, Gerard saw numerous paintings and drawings of the human brain and the different areas of the human brain and how they function, and was intrigued by them. He has been studying neurology and psychology as a hobby for over a year now, and he is quite interested in the brain.
After seeing all of those paintings, Gerard decided to make a drawing of his own. He drew what he believed to be the human brain, but his drawing was completely different from those he had seen earlier. Instead of focusing on the left side of the brain, which is where you have all the analytical functions, he focused on the right side. The area he focused on was called the right parietal lobe. This area is responsible for perception, spatial reasoning, and movement.
Gerard Eilander also drew an eye on the brain, which is supposed to be the pineal gland. He believes that this gland is responsible for conscious perception.
