Westley personality type is ESFJ, but as the children grow older and the household begins to run more smoothly, we can see that his family is starting to fit into the ISTJ pattern. This is probably because of the presence of his brother and sister, and his close relationship with his mother. As he gets older, we can see that he and his siblings will start to fit into the traditional household roles more and more.

Informational interviews can be used to determine which type of personality is most prevalent in a particular family. In the case of the Darwins, I am pretty sure that my initial impression was wrong. In fact, it is possible that they are an ENFP family, but they are all more “E”-oriented – not exactly an “I” – type – but they are still more of an “E” type. When I observed them at the beginning of my research, they struck me more as a J type family – a J-ish family, but not quite as J as I had been led to believe.
