"The dog did nothing wrong," he said. "It's just a dog and it's adorable."
But after a couple of days at the shelter, he reconsidered and brought the dog home.
"I got an extra arm," he said. "I got a dog that sleeps in my bed and doesn't leave me. It's awesome."
A spokesman for the city's animal control department told the Tribune that they would likely have to euthanize the dog if it were brought to their shelter, because it was not licensed at the time of its rescue.
