Mr. Vandermeer Sr (the grandfather) personality type is ISTJ, which is the same as mine. He is a retired police officer. So the first thing that crossed my mind when I looked at his house was that maybe he was a cop. I thought it would be cool to have a cop as a grandfather, so I was very interested in learning more about police work. I think it is an awesome profession.
I have always viewed my grandfather as a very strong, no nonsense guy. He has always been there to help me out when I needed something done. For example, if I ever had a car accident, he would be there within seconds to help me out. The other thing that I really admire about him is that he teaches his kids to respect people regardless of their race. For instance, he taught me never to talk to anyone that I don’t know, regardless of their race. So to me, he is almost like Superman because he would always put his life on the line for anyone, regardless of what race they are. He is like the Batman of the family.
My grandfather also has taught me to never give up on anything, no matter how bad it may seem.
