He then began dating Mayumi Nagisa, who is also revealed to be an E-type in the anime series' first episode.
He is typically depicted as a character who is always in some sort of danger, whether it be when he is in his police uniform or when he is in civilian disguise. It is revealed in the manga's eighth chapter that he is afraid of heights.
His most notable trait is his determination to solve cases. He often goes out of his way to accomplish his goal, even if it means putting himself at risk of death or injury.
