Mara Dyer personality type is ISFP, the artist, the creative. The ISFP is a very rare type, and it's a type that's a little more unusual for a lot of different reasons. ISFPs are people who are probably a little bit more likely to be introverted, but they're definitely artists. They're definitely people who are really creative. They're people who are very open-minded, and they're people who are very spiritual. This is a type that's not as common as it once was—you see a lot more of the ESFP, the Entertainer, the socializer—but ISFPs have a lot of these same qualities, so it's interesting to see them take on this role in a book like this. For me, Mara Dyer was a girl who'd been through a lot of trauma and loss, and this was her way of dealing with it.
