He does not sleep for days on end, and he really is a workaholic. He works at a job he hates, he works on his art as if it was a full time job, and he's very single minded about it. He doesn't really want to be involved with anyone else, and he really doesn't think of relationships as anything more than something to get by on.
Lon likes to be alone, and he likes to be alone more than almost anyone else. He's very shy and introverted, and he has trouble making friends. But he doesn't really want anyone to get close to him because he doesn't trust people, especially people who are close to him. He has a hard time trusting people, and he believes that they will hurt him in some way. Because of this, he doesn't really like having relationships with people because he feels like they will hurt him.
