Background
Masamune was born into a samurai family in Kyoto, Japan. Because of his family's history, Masamune was trained in sword fighting from a young age. He learned how to wield a katana so well that he could hold his own against his father and a man named Saito. After Masamune married and had a child, he left his family in Kyoto and traveled to Edo, where he tried to make a living as a fighter. Though Masamune was good with a sword, he didn't have enough skill to earn a living as a ronin. He also discovered that other ronin were willing to fight him for money, weakening his confidence in his fighting ability.
One day, Masamune was approached by a man named Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who wanted to hire him for a job.
