The judge explained he believed Lader to be highly manipulative and controlling of her boyfriend, Cody Leifermann, who she had met on the Internet.
"This young woman took Mr. Leifermann under her wing, indoctrinated him in her cult, and turned him into her personal computer slave," Stearns said.
The only reason Lader pleaded guilty to the violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act was to avoid a trial with a possible prison term, Stearns said.
Lader pleaded guilty to one count of unauthorized access of a protected computer.
