Anri is a recurring character in the Fire Emblem series. She first appears as a secondary character in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade, where she acts as an attendant to Eliwood's group, the Emblian Army. She is also one of the characters Eliwood can marry in The Blazing Blade.
In Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, she is first seen as a commoner who lives in Miledy Castle. She has a strong dislike for the Vandal King, Garnt, and she refuses to be recruited by him even after he has conquered Miledy Castle. After the game begins, however, she is seen as one of Prince Leif's retainers, but she is soon captured by Prince Julius. She is rescued by Prince Leif, who has become the main character of the game. When Leif learns of her role in Garnt's conquest of Miledy Castle, he decides to set her free.
In Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade, it is mentioned that Anri was once married to Mila's father, Duke Loptyr, but that they were separated for unknown reasons.
