Josh Hoberman personality type is ENFP, and I’ve seen this type be extremely gracious and nice and kind and generous and helpful and creative and smart and creative! I mean, really smart. I’ve seen them win awards for their work. They’re creative, and they’re smart, and they’re hard-working, and they’re focused, and they’re always doing something new. They seem like the perfect people to have as neighbors. But because their home is messy, they don’t have a lot of friends because people can’t stand to be around them if they see them in their messy home.
And so I’ve seen a lot of ENFPS go through a phase of being lonely and depressed and not being able to figure out why they feel so misunderstood. They have a hard time figuring out how to approach people because they don’t know how to present themselves in a way that will be liked. In fact, I’ve written a lot about this as a type, as an archetype. I wrote a book about it, called The Secret Lives of ENFPs.
