I had spoken to the school and found out that my child had been misbehaving. I was upset about this, and I was also angry with the school for not having the resources they needed to deal with my child. I was frustrated that a school teacher had chosen to punish my child for a misbehaviour, and I thought that he shouldn’t have been punished at all.
The school told me that they felt my child was being bullied at school, and that he had threatened a classmate with a knife the day before. I was furious about this because of course I knew my son wasn’t a bully or a threat to anyone, and he didn’t have a knife. Yet this is how the school saw it. They also told me that they were worried about my son’s safety, which is why they had decided to punish him.
