The personality type didn’t change until Bertram was interviewed for a job in the Criminal Investigative Division at FBI Headquarters. At that time, she was offered an opportunity to take the personality test that would determine her ESFJ personality type.
“It was nice to know that there was a name for me,” she said. “I thought it was just something I had to work on.”
She has since become a voice for the group of people who choose the same career path as she did — those who choose to be FBI agents. She is the president of the International Society of FBI Agents (ISFIA), which is comprised of more than 400 members worldwide. She’s also the executive vice president of the International Society of Intelligence Professionals (ISIP).
