What is the personality type of Reuben Fine? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Reuben Fine from Chess and what is the personality traits.
Reuben Fine personality type is INFP, and I'm INFP. I don't like the term "troublemaker" at all-- I'd rather be called an "initiator". But I'm pretty sure I've got the sorts of problems that the term was referring to. If I'm not careful, I can get way too attached to people, and then they'll leave. I'll cry over it. I can't stand doing things that aren't for my own sake. If I care about someone, I'll go to great lengths to help them; but if I don't, I'll usually stoop to whatever's necessary to distance myself. If someone doesn't like me, it can be very hard for them not to hate me-- but if they do like me, it's even harder not to feel possessive about them. And I can be possessive without meaning to be. I know what you mean. It's hard to explain, but it just happens. The thing is, if you're that much into someone, you almost have to sort of separate yourself from them-- it's almost impossible to be friends with someone you care so much about.
Reuben C. Fine (1914 – 1993) was an American chess player, psychologist, university professor, and author of many books on both chess and psychology. He was one of the strongest chess players in the world from the mid 1930s until his retirement from chess in 1951. He was granted the title of International Grandmaster by FIDE in 1950, when titles were introduced.
