Miyamoto's style of game design and production has been heavily influenced by Japanese culture. He's been quoted as saying that "The Japanese don't understand what sort of games you can make in America. They look at our super-violent games and laugh."

Miyamoto has been working with Nintendo for more than 35 years since the company's inception.
