As a child, Stacey’s parents naturally encouraged her to explore and express her interests. She was encouraged to try many different things to see what interests her. She would go to the library and read about many different subjects. She was also encouraged to try many different sports. One year she participated in every school sport and ended up being the first person to participate in all of them.
In her late teens, Stacey worked as a salesperson for a company that sold women’s wear, perfume and accessories. It was hard work, but she loved it.
Stacey married her husband after high school graduation. They have been married for over 35 years and have two daughters.
When Stacey was in college, she took a young children course which helped her obtain her degree in Early Childhood Education.
Stacey has served in the United Methodist Church as a member of Heritage UMC since 1992. She has worked with the church as a music director and in a variety of other positions. She has worked with children in preschool, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School since 1991.
