Gintama is an anime that made me laugh, cry, and everything inbetween. I have seen all of the episodes many times, but the one I remembered the most was Episode 51, where Gintoki was forced to meet his childhood hero, Okita Sougo. The anime is set in Edo Japan, which is the feudal era after the Meiji Restoration. While he does not know it himself, Sougo is actually a famous historical figure known as “The Bravest Man Alive”.
Gintoki’s main antagonist is The Yorozuya, although Gintoki himself is not part of it. The Yorozuya is a business that mostly consists of young men that are not very successful. They all follow Gintoki’s example and run around causing trouble wherever they go. Gintoki, on the other hand, is always looking for something to do. He wants to be successful at something, but he also wants to be able to move on with his life after he accomplishes something.
Kenji Suzuki (鈴木健二 Suzuki Kenji, born 16 January 1950), better known as Damo Suzuki (ダモ鈴木), is a Japanese musician who has been living in Germany since the early 1970s and is best known as the former lead singer of the German krautrock group Can.
Suzuki was with Can from 1970 to 1973, recording a number of well-regarded albums such as Tago Mago, Future Days and Ege Bamyası. Suzuki's first vocal performance with Can was “Don't Turn the Light On, Leave Me Alone” from Soundtracks. His freeform, often improvised lyrics, were sung in no particular language.
