My Japanese name is Kumi Tachibana, I was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1972. I speak Japanese well, but my English is not good enough yet to be a communications support person in a hospital. I love to read and write in Japanese, and I am learning English at the same time.
I have been learning English for about ten years. I have been very busy with my work, but when I come home, I read English books and when I have time, I write in English.
When I read a book in English, I check the contents and look up words or expressions in a dictionary, and put them into my vocabulary list. I only read the story and the English words and expressions in the book.
I can read an English newspaper and a manga (Japanese comic book) in English. I am not very good at writing in English yet, but I am also taking an English class at my university.
