“I relate to the character of Casey a lot,” Thompson said. “I’m extremely analytical — process-oriented, a bit of a perfectionist. I’m also a very emotional person.
“But I am also very determined to do things the right way and get it right. I can be a perfectionist, but I’m also a good team player.”
Thompson said it was hard for her to find time to work on the book, which has been a long time coming.
“When I had finished my master’s degree, I was working as a professor at Tyndale University College,” she said. “I had a small part-time job and things got busy.
“The book project kind of fell off the radar.”
Thompson said she’s now teaching full-time at Concordia University in Irvine, Calif., and would like to teach more one day.
