“For me, it’s kind of a natural thing. I love art, I love music, and I love creating things, so as long as it’s not me, I pretty much have a hard time not doing it. That’s just how I am,” he said.
Usui saw his first anime in middle school and was hooked.
“I thought the animation was the best, and I wanted to do it too,” he said. “So I started drawing my own manga.”
Usui said he’s been drawing manga for about 30 years now.
