I was born in Pasadena, California, to a family of engineers and scientists, and I have two brothers and three sisters. My father worked for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology. My mother grew up in New Hampshire, and she grew up on a farm, where she learned how to cook. She made her own bread and her own pies. She grew up on a farm. She's an excellent cook. When she makes bread, it's amazing. She also makes pies. She's very good at it.
