I was curious as to why Richter had chosen to learn about finance, because as a judge he must have the ability to look at things objectively and I was curious as to whether knowing about finance helped him to do that. I was also interested as to whether learning about finance would help him as he deals with cases.
To find out what Richter thought, I asked him how he had come to learn about finance. He told me that he had started learning about finance a few years ago, when he was a member of a local branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
