My life is a constant stream of geeky things: Doctor Who, Star Wars, and so on. But what I have never been able to wrap my head around is the fact that people actually like watching football.
I couldn't understand how anyone could actually want to watch what is essentially a game between two teams of grown men kicking a ball around a pitch for 90 minutes. I just couldn't get my head round it. And then I saw this guy, David Platt, on TV. He's some sort of ex-England football manager (although most people thought he was more of an ex-alcoholic, at least according to his Wikipedia page).
