The first generation of Thorfinns was the one that appeared in the 1950s. Both Thorfinn and Thorbjorg were INTPs, but they had a very different personality from one another. Thorfinn was a very "upbeat" type of INTP, who loved to talk about the future and the possibilities of the world. He was interested in science and technology, and he was very excited about space exploration and space colonies. He also liked to imagine what would happen if we could travel through time. But Thorbjorg was not like Thorfinn at all; she was very pessimistic and she worried about the future of the world. She thought that the world was going to end someday, and that there would be no future for humanity at all.
Thorfinn, better known by his nickname Bug-Eyes (or Full Eyes) is a trader who works with and was adopted by Leif Ericson, who bought him as a slave thinking that he was Thorfinn, son of Thors.
He later joins Thorfinn in his journey in order to help him and Leif colonize Vinland.
