Natsuhiko Azuma personality type is ISTJ, and his extraverted sensing and thinking functions make him a natural leader and motivator. As someone with this personality type, I’m constantly trying to figure out how I can get the most out of my life. This is what prompted me to get involved with the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of Japan (SFWJ), a group of like-minded authors and editors throughout Japan who get together to discuss the craft of science fiction and fantasy writing.
The SFWJ was formed in 2007 in order for its members to learn more about each other’s work and share their experiences with one another. It was originally an email list, but it moved to a public forum in 2010 when the group was officially incorporated. Since then, the SFWJ has become much more active in Japan, hosting events, organizing anthologies, arranging workshops, and even creating a young writers contest.
