Johnson's passion for acting began when he was a boy, when he was given a camera by his mother. He had an interest in drama, particularly Shakespeare, and at the age of five, he appeared in the play "Watch Your Step". He later took part in auditions for film and television roles, and by the age of 16, he had appeared in his first movie, "Humrahi".
Johnson was widely known as a popular face on television, and was involved with several shows such as "The Bold and the Beautiful", "General Hospital", "Days of Our Lives", and "Melrose Place".
A drug addiction began to take its toll on Johnson's life, and after a prison sentence of five years, he was arrested for possession of cocaine and heroin. During his time in prison, Johnson came across a book about the Enneagram, and learned about his own personality type. Johnson emerged from prison as an Enneagram enthusiast, and turned to acting once again.
Johnson died on February 10, 2010 at the age of 45.
