Ai Mikami personality type is ISFJ, which I found pretty interesting. I’ve never read a book with a character so much like me! And so I thought maybe I should read a book about a girl with the same personality as me, because that would be very interesting.
But then I found that someone else had already written a book about a girl with the same personality as me, and I didn’t really find it as interesting as I thought I would. In fact, I thought it was pretty boring. It also does not have a happy ending. So I thought, ‘why should I read this?’
There was a girl I knew in high school who was a little bit crazy, and she keeps me entertained every time people ask me about her. One time a guy asked me, ‘What’s it like to know such a crazy person?’ The answer was, ‘I don’t know, I’ve only known her for five minutes.’
I think that’s why many people enjoy reading books about characters just like them – because you can relate to them and you feel like you know them, even if you don’t.
