Mel Carraro personality type is ENFP, and I think the ENFP-dominant side of me has been in control since my teens. It's also possible that my ENFP-dominant side was in control when I was in my 20s and 30s, but is no longer in control in my 40s and 50s. I don't know.
I do believe the ENFP-dominant side of me is in charge, though. I recently read two books (The Female Brain by Louann Brizendine and The Male Brain by Cordelia Fine) that give an explanation for why the ENFP is the most neurotypical of all the personality types.
ENFPs make up 18-20% of the population and they're the most common type in the world (2nd most common in North America and 4th most common in Europe). This means that there are more ENFPs than any other type in the world.
But most ENFPs aren't "The Different" — they're just like everyone else. Their problems are just different from everyone else's problems.
