Joe Paxton personality type is ISTJ, which is the only personality type that has an extra letter. The ISTJ personality type is the one that requires the most rational thinking, so it’s always a bit of a surprise when they create characters who are more emotional. I think it’s good for the show because it keeps things interesting. Being an ISTJ, I think it’s just a fact that I’m very logical and that I have a hard time understanding people who are dramatic or emotional. I don’t understand why anyone would want to have drama in their life, but it’s just something that happens in this world.
As an ISTJ myself, I’ve always thought that I was pretty logical. But I can see how it could be frustrating for other people to watch the show, like the guy who said there were too many characters with ISTJ tendencies. I can understand where he’s coming from, but I think the ISTJ tendency is what makes the show work. People can be surprised by the characters, but really, it’s not like the show is about ISTJs like me. It’s about everyone that works at The Company.
