Armando Santo Domingo is a fictional character on the U.S. television sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air". He is portrayed by Alfonso Ribeiro.
Born in the Dominican Republic, Armando is the son of Angelica (née Santo Domingo) and Carlton Banks (né Carlton Banks-Bowser). Initially, he is portrayed as a stereotypical dumb jock (or "O.G." as he is sometimes referred to by his friends), but he slowly matures into a well-rounded character who became less stereotypical as the series progressed.
Armando's best friend is Philip Banks, with whom he shares a love for basketball. He also has an on-again, off-again friendship with Will Smith's character, James "Jimmy" Smith. Despite having a reputation for being a "dumb jock", he is actually a highly intelligent student who consistently places high in his classes.
