Plumette personality type is INFJ, so I’m sure you can imagine how this would start to affect me. When you are the only one in the room who is really doing anything, you begin to feel trapped. You feel trapped in your room, trapped in your house, trapped in your brain. You just want to escape.
So, I started to take note of all of the “escape” moments I would have. When I was reading a book, I would see the opportunity for escape. When I was watching TV, I would see the opportunity for escape. I would spend hours making elaborate escape plans with my friends, all of which would never come to fruition.
I began to feel more and more depressed as time went on, despite my own efforts to cheer myself up.
Eventually the escape plans became more elaborate. I would pretend that I was really sick and needed to stay home from school. My parents would take pity on me and let me stay home. As time went on, this became more and more elaborate. My parents had to play along with me, so they would pretend to be sympathetic and let me stay home from school, even though it was against their wishes.
