This resulted in him being bullied multiple times by the other students, which further made him feel isolated. Reiji also developed a fascination with the human body; exploring it, experimenting with it, and trying to understand how it works. This interest later led him to become a robotics engineer. While he may be very intelligent, he can be very stubborn and is unwilling to accept help from others because of his self-reliance.
