Although this is true, it is important to note that you can have an Extraverted Sensing preference with an Introverted Intuition or Extraverted Feeling preference as well. In fact, you may even have a preference in one of these other areas (Intuition or Feeling) and then a preference in Sensing as well.
This is why there is no true “preference” for Sensing as such. It’s not like someone who has a “preference” for Extraverted Feeling would necessarily become a great Intuitive since they are both extraverted sensing types. The different preferences are like flavors in a cake: they all taste good except when they don’t.
Also, it is important to note that there is no “wrong way” of making decisions about which function to use.
