imuRgency(Rumi) personality type is INFJ, which is an INFP personality type. I want to be a good example for my son and daughter, and I know if I do this, they will do the same. The INFJ and INFp tendencies to take care of others and guide them may actually make for a good parent because it is a natural instinct to want to guide and help others. This is also a good defense mechanism – not having to worry about or be responsible for the problems of others. It is natural for INFJs to naturally care about other people and to want to help them.
I am extremely careful about letting my children see me only as a mother, and I always try to show them that I can be there for them as well as their father. I have a much better relationship with my children now than I did when they were younger. I think there is a much greater chance that they will grow up knowing that they can depend on me if they need me.
My INFJ daughter is at the age now where she wants to have a “normal” family life. She is very much afraid that she will be different from other kids at school.
