Rollo Tomassi personality type is INTJ, which I’ve been told is a rarefied combo of INTJ & ENFP, which I’ve also been told is quite rare. At any rate, my personality is somewhere between these two, which has nothing to do with the point of this post.
The point of this post is that the Rollo Tomassi personality type (INTJ) is highly unusual in that it doesn’t involve the typical 4-letter personality type combo. I am not INTJ because I am boring, or because I am aggressive or even because I love to read. I am INTJ because I am highly unusual. I’ve made my peace with that.
But it took me a long time to appreciate that, and I still struggle with it. I find it difficult to believe that my personality is okay. It’s okay that it’s not like everyone else’s, but I struggle with it because I want to be like everyone else. Or more than everyone else.
I want to be like everyone else so that I can be popular. I want to be like everyone else so that I can be one of the cool kids.
