Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen was born on 14 December 1992 in Espoo, Finland. He grew up in the city of Turku, and spent his childhood playing competitively as a member of the Catz team under the name "jimda". He switched to the main Catz team after his first season as a competitive player. He played as a high-elo player until the age of 16, when he switched to mid-high elo. His first notable tournament result was at DreamHack Winter 2013, where he placed top 16 in the Spring Championship tournament. He then qualified for DreamHack Bucharest 2013 by finishing top 16 in the EU Spring Qualifier and was eliminated by Moon and Moonmeister, both members of Team Legion.
