Altrive personality type is ENFP, so they adapt well to leadership roles. And, as ENFPs are so adaptable, they can also adapt to work environments that are less than ideal for them.
The downside to this type is that they often lack the skills necessary to be effective in management roles. This is because they are not naturally inclined towards logical thought. They are more apt to "see the big picture" and make decisions based on how the final product will look. They love to brainstorm and solve problems. They love to find creative solutions to complex problems. But, when it comes time to actually make decisions, they can often come up with "blank stares."
This is where having an ISTJ following you can be beneficial. It's much easier for an ISTJ to put aside their skepticism and follow through with a decision or goal, if they have a clear idea of what the final product will look like. In short, it's much easier to follow through with an ISTJ than it is with an ENFP.
This is not to say that all ISTJs are good at business. In fact, ISTJs can have a tendency to be a little overbearing at times.
