Tell us a little bit about your early life, how you’ve come to be a personality consultant.
Flávio Fernandes: I was born in Brazil and immigrated to Canada as a teenager. I went to university in Toronto for psychology and then worked as a psychologist for a few years. After a few years of practice, I realized that I was not happy being a psychologist. I was not happy being a therapist either, so I took a couple of years off from professional practice to do some personal development. In those years, I read a lot of books on personality and self-help, and I read everything from Dale Carnegie to Napoleon Hill to Bob Proctor to Wayne Dyer to Tony Robbins. I was really inspired by what they were saying.
