I think the answer to these questions starts with the fact that INTPs are restless and often misdiagnosed as suffering from ADD. The reason they are restless is because they are trying to understand their own needs, specifically in regards to their identity, and they often have a hard time figuring out who they are in relation to others.
As a result of this, they tend to be very critical of others and typically put themselves above the rest of society.
