Martin personality type is ISTJ, which to me personally is one of the most accurate types in the MBTI system. I know that there are people who believe that this is a caricature of an ISTJ, but if you read the MBTI manual, you will see that it describes both my mother and I to a T. That’s the thing about stereotypes — they’re usually true.
Despite all of the craziness surrounding 9-year-old me, I was actually a very happy kid growing up. I loved to read, play sports, and hang out with friends. I was even a pretty decent student, although I don’t think I ever really excelled at math. However, I was also pretty smart. I could solve difficult logic puzzles and understand complex ideas fairly easily.
I was also a kid who struggled with schoolwork and homework. I wasn’t good at memorizing facts, so I always filled in the blanks with information from TV and Netflix. As a result, my grades were never stellar. My grades went from B- to C- to D- to F- in elementary school, and then from D- to D+ in middle school to F in high school.
