    Background

    Weathers' family moved frequently, because he was constantly getting in trouble at school. He also had a history of being bullied by the neighborhood kids, which resulted in him fighting them on several occasions.

    Season 1

    He first shows up in "The Coolest Girl in School" when he is sent to detention with the rest of the Woodhouse Gang after he steals Mikey's lunch money. He introduces himself to Mikey as his new friend, asking him if he's got any homework.

    He works at Biola University, teaches math, and makes videos. He likes exploring new ideas about information usability, philosophy, and science. He makes videos of the tricks he plays on his class sometimes.

    Matthew Weathers has a B.S. in Math and Computer Science from Biola and a master's in computer science from USC. Matthew is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Math and Computer Science Department, and began teaching at Biola part-time in 1998, and full-time in 2005. Before coming to Biola, Matthew worked as a computer programmer, and continues to work on small web site projects.

    He is the Applied Instructional Technology Administrator for the Office of Digital Learning and Program Development, and helps faculty learn how to make the best use of technology like Canvas, our Learning Management System at Biola. His interests include making information more usable and user-friendly, web site development, and finding ways to help students be more engaged in the learning process.
