Alex Wellman (Sufficient Whispers) personality type is ESTP, which is the same as mine. We’re both also male.
I think there are a lot of people in the world whose type is ESTP. My story is, I didn’t realize it at the time, but I always responded to things spontaneously and on the fly. I was always good at improv. I was always good at the start of a conversation, when you don’t have a script. I was always able to jump right in, and be conversational, and have a conversation with people that was incredibly natural and real. I’d go through life thinking, “Oh, I was never like this,” and it’s because I didn’t know that I was doing it.
When I started to think about what my type was, and how to best use it, I realized that this was something that could be really helpful for writing. For example, when you’re writing a script for a movie, you’re always doing two things at once. You’re writing the scene that you’re in, so you need to be a fast writer.
