I get a lot of anxiety from anxiety-provoking emotions, so I get a lot of anxiety from anxiety-provoking ASMR videos; however, I don’t really think ASMR videos are very anxiety-provoking.
I’m not sure if I have the same experience as you in terms of the feelings of euphoria and release that you describe when doing ASMR. I do feel relaxed but it’s not exactly the same as that. I’m more on the topic of feeling relaxed and my only role play at the moment is that of an attentive listener to someone writing. To be honest, I feel more relieve after talking than in those videos.
I am in my early 30’s and have experienced this feeling since I was very young. I never understood it, but always loved it.
