Morgan Ross personality type is ENTP, and I am the type’s advocate. I am also a Myers-Briggs Enneagram consultant, and I often help clients discover their type.
As an ENTP, I’m happy to say that I’m far from a hypocrite. I love ENTPs, and I have fun working with them! Yet, I have a serious reason for writing this book.
When I was at my first job out of college, I had the pleasure of working with many ENTPs. I was then hired to teach classes on personality type. Over the years, I have interacted with thousands of ENTPs—as well as many other personality types. And I have found that ENTPs are often incompetent, incompetent to the point of being self-destructive.
ENTPs are brilliant, but they are also often clueless. They love to be challenged, so they are often recruited to do projects that are too complex for them to handle. The result is that they will often burn out, be fired, or both.
It’s common to see ENTPs doing work that is not their strength.
